How to Make the Best Whipped Soap

Whipped Soap is a soap that has been whipped to create a light and fluffy texture. This type of soap is a gentle cleanser, and can be enriched with oils and ingredients that are beneficial to the skin. It can be used as a body wash or even shaving cream. Whipped soap is also a great option for those with sensitive skin as it can be made to suit any skin type.

Here at Moody Sisters, we have a range of lush whipped soaps available in an array of spellbinding scents. These are a great alternative to traditional soap bars or shower gels, and can be applied directly to the skin with a loofah.

We use SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) as the primary surfactant in all of our whipped soap recipes. This is a mild solid surfactant that is derived from coconut oil, and we also add Coco Betaine (Cocamidopropyl Betaine) to boost its foaming capabilities. We then add Vegetable Glycerin, which is a natural humectant that keeps the base soft and moldable. Finally, we add essential or fragrance oils and a bit of mica to colour the soap.

Once the mixture has been beaten to the desired consistency, it is ready to be scooped into your soap containers and then piped to create a beautiful whipped soap design. This method of making soap is very easy, so anyone can try it out at home. Just make sure that you take the proper precautions when working with essential oils (do a patch test first!), and always remember to work in a well ventilated area. Best Whipped Soap
